Battle of the Bands
Wanna Rock n Roll all Night? Think you have what it takes to win the first annual Battle of the Bands? The Brockport Merchants Association has the contest for you. This is an event for all ages and skill levels.
The Brockport Merchants Association will be hosting the annual Battle of the Bands. This contest will be opening the Brock the Canal event kicking off the Brockport Fall Festival! We know Brockport is talented, it’s time to unleash that talent.
Band Qualifications
- At least one original song
- At least four songs altogether
- Ready to work the crowd.
Rules
- Each band will have 15 minutes to setup, and break down
- The set can include any number of songs, but must have at least one original song, and one cover song.
- Bands will be rated on technical ability, originality, and crowd reaction.
- Crowd members will place their vote by $1 donation in your bands name. (50/50 split with BMA)
Prizes
Grand Prize: The highest score overall will win an 8-hour recording session with Wicked Squid Studios. ($560 Value)
Best in Genres: The winner in each genre will have the opportunity to play at the 2024 Brock the Canal music festival opening the Brockport Fall Festival.
